Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Vampire tribal strategy commanded by Strefan, Maurer Progenitor that focuses on generating Blood tokens through table-wide life loss and converting them into massive mana velocity. By deploying cheap pingers on early turns, the deck ensures Strefan generates multiple Blood tokens on the turn it enters. On Turn 5, Strefan attacks and sacrifices two Blood tokens to cheat expensive, game-altering Vampires like Olivia's Attendants, Crossway Troublemakers, and Markov Enforcer directly into combat with indestructible. The deck backs up this aggressive creature plan with aristocrat drain triggers from Blood Artist, Sanctum Seeker, and Malakir Bloodwitch, as well as flexible Rakdos removal and one-sided sweepers like Olivia's Wrath. While vulnerable to instant removal targeting Strefan and lacking deterministic tutors, the deck delivers steady combat pressure and resilient card filtering through its Blood engine.
