Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir graveyard control and spellslinger strategy commanded by Emet-Selch, Unsundered // Hades, Sorcerer of Eld. The game plan revolves around filling the graveyard through self-mill, card draw, and looting effects like Glimpse the Unthinkable, Strategic Planning, and Emet-Selch's attack triggers. Once fourteen cards accumulate in the graveyard, Emet-Selch transforms on upkeep into Hades, Sorcerer of Eld, turning the graveyard into an active second hand during your turn. The deck leverages high-impact payoffs such as The Final Days, Syr Konrad, the Grim, Xande, Dark Mage, and Fandaniel, Telophoroi Ascian to generate overwhelming token armies and asymmetric life drain. A deep interactive package featuring Counterspell, Snuff Out, Bitter Triumph, and sweepers like Singularity Rupture keeps opposing threats in check. While vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and lacking direct artifact removal, the deck boasts resilient backup lines that allow it to rebuild quickly and close games by Turn 8.
