Deck overview

This Golgari deck transforms deathtouch creatures into an oppressive board-control and attrition engine led by The Serpent Society. By leveraging low-cost deathtouch creatures as both combat deterrents and sacrifice fodder, the deck triggers the commander's ability to force all opponents to sacrifice nontoken creatures simultaneously. Built-in ward on the commander penalizes targeted answers with five poison counters, making direct disruption costly. The deck converts these creature deaths into game-ending life drain through aristocrat cornerstones like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, and Syr Konrad, the Grim, or closes rapidly via poison counters from Fynn, the Fangbearer. Supporting cards such as Maha, Its Feathers Night and Culling Ritual ensure total board dominance, while Skullclamp and Moldervine Reclamation sustain card flow through repeated sacrifice loops.
