Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Killian, Decisive Mentor to combine Aura-based Voltron, goad disruption, and pillowfort defense. The primary strategy revolves around deploying low-cost Auras to enhance friendly creatures while simultaneously tapping and goading opposing threats. By forcing opponents to attack each other, the deck maintains high life totals and preserves its board state while generating steady card advantage through Killian's attack triggers and dedicated enchantress engines like Sram, Senior Edificer and Kor Spiritdancer. As the game progresses, it scales offensive power using mass Aura payoffs such as Eidolon of Countless Battles, Eldrazi Conscription, and Eriette of the Charmed Apple, or wide token swarms from Archon of Sun's Grace. Defensive staples like Ghostly Prison and targeted removal like Anguished Unmaking keep opposing threats in check. The deck closes games around Turn 8 by overwhelming weakened opponents with unblockable or flying commander damage and direct life drain.
