Commander: Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder drives a four-color cascade deck: once he deals combat damage, every spell cast from hand gains cascade, and the deck is built to spend the rest of the turn chaining free spells. The primary plan is to ramp out Yidris around turn three, give him haste or evasion, connect once, then ride high-end payoffs such as Apex Devastator, Maelstrom Wanderer, and Etali through multiple cascade triggers. Averna, Wild-Magic Sorcerer, and Imoti extend the chain, while Nalfeshnee, Nico Minoru, Passionate Archaeologist, and Ancient Cellarspawn convert the chain into damage. The deck has no hidden commander and no deterministic combo; Etali is a top-end payoff rather than an anchor.
