Deck overview

This deck leverages Hashaton, Scarab's Fist to turn discarded high-cost creatures into immediate 4/4 black Zombie token copies for {2}{U}. Backed by Esper's versatile card draw, efficient removal, and classic reanimation spells, the deck filters through its library with looting creatures like Psychic Frog and Likeness Looter. Once online, it cheats out game-warping threats such as Archon of Cruelty, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Consecrated Sphinx ahead of curve. Token enhancers like Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Temmet, Naktamun's Will accelerate board pressure, allowing the deck to control the battlefield through attrition while building a lethal Zombie army. While resilient to single-target removal thanks to backup reanimation tools, the strategy requires careful mana management between casting spells, holding interaction, and paying Hashaton's trigger cost.
