Deck overview

This mono-black deck combines aristocrats attrition and lifedrain synergies with a compact infinite combo finish. Led by Avacyn, Angel of Horror, the deck largely bypasses its high-cost commander in favor of fast assembly in the 99. Its primary objective is assembling a two-card life loop by pairing a damage-to-gain piece like Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with a gain-to-drain piece like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Marauding Blight-Priest. Supported by fast mana (Dark Ritual, Sol Ring, Cabal Coffers) and universal tutors (Demonic Tutor, Imperial Seal), the deck consistently threatens a same-turn table kill on Turn 5. An efficient removal suite featuring Toxic Deluge, Snuff Out, and Deadly Rollick keeps aggressive opponents in check, while cheap reanimation spells ensure the combo pieces can be recovered quickly if countered or destroyed.
