Format: Commander

Commander: Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn leads a Selesnya lifegain counters deck that turns every point of life gained into +1/+1 counters. The primary plan uses Soul Sisters and enter triggers to gain life, then Lathiel distributes that life total as counters at each end step to grow a wide board. Secondary paths do not need Lathiel: Archangel of Thune, Heliod, Sun-Crowned, and Nykthos Paragon convert lifegain directly into counters, while Abzan Falconer and Kodama of the West Tree provide evasion. Lathiel acts as a repeatable distribution engine, not a combo piece. Archangel of Thune functions as the hidden commander, the most powerful standalone payoff that closes games without the commander.
