Deck overview

Bard, King of Dale turns this Azorius deck into a token-and-draw engine turned sideways. The commander's two static abilities - doubling every draw after your first draw step and doubling every token you create - define the entire game plan: deploy redundant doublers like Anointed Procession, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, Elspeth, Storm Slayer, and Exalted Sunborn, then bury opponents under a swarm of tokens, a gigantic hand, and grindy card advantage. The primary win paths are combat (often converting tokens into 4/4 Angels with Divine Visitation), the alt-win Halo Fountain and Twenty-Toed Toad, and a life-gain storm finish via Aetherflux Reservoir. The deck is a classic value-control build: it taxes opponents with Rhystic Study, Smothering Tithe, and Propaganda, holds up a dense counterspell suite, then out-values the table. Bard is a force multiplier, not a combo piece - the 99 carries the plan, and the commander makes every engine more efficient.
