Format: Commander

Commander: Gollum, Riddle Master

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gollum, Riddle Master pilots a mono-black aristocrats deck that wins by sacrificing creatures to fuel death-trigger drains and recurring them for extra cycles. The commander is an optional parity engine: choosing odd/even lets him grow, drain, or draw as opponents cast spells, but the deck does not warp around him. There is no hidden commander; the Gollum-legend package (the Abandoned, Patient Plotter, Silent Slinker, and others) serves as flexible value creatures and self-returning sacrifice fodder. Secondary paths are a Gray Merchant devotion burst and an Exsanguinate finish. Low mana values and heavy draw keep the engine online, while Phyrexian Reclamation and Chthonian Nightmare provide repeatable recursion.
