Deck overview

This is a Grixis Pirate-Assassin-Vehicle midrange deck helmed by Edward Kenway. The core plan is to flood the board with Pirates and Vehicles, cast Edward to convert every tapped tribal permanent into Treasures at end of turn, and leverage Vehicle combat damage to exile and play cards off opponents' libraries. Primary wins are combat pressure backed by Port Razer extra combats and Angrath's Marauders damage doubling, the alternate-win enchantment Revel in Riches, and incremental theft via Admiral Beckett Brass and Hostage Taker. Treasure engines (Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator, Gemcutter Buccaneer, Pitiless Plunderer, Captain Lannery Storm) and tribal anthems (Corsair Captain, Vanquisher's Banner, Icon of Ancestry) glue the strategy together. Edward is a powerful engine but not a hard combo piece; the 99 still executes a functional Pirate aggro-value plan without him.
