Deck overview

This Grixis Midrange deck revolves around The Madcap Jester, weaponizing opponents' libraries through exile and impulse-theft mechanics. The primary game plan leverages early artifact acceleration to deploy the commander on Turn 3 and attack on Turn 4, exiling three cards per turn cycle and unlocking them until the end of your next turn. As the game advances, high-impact spells like Tasha's Hideous Laughter, Brainstealer Dragon, and Etali, Primal Storm generate immense card advantage by playing opposing threats for free or using flexible mana. Synergies like Passionate Archaeologist, Don Andres, the Renegade, and Prosper, Tome-Bound convert every cast from exile into direct damage, Treasure ramp, and board dominance. While the deck lacks fast combo finishes and universal tutors, its deep roster of autonomous theft creatures ensures strong resilience and sustained late-game pressure against diverse pods.
