Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Superfriends control deck commanded by Nicol Bolas, the Ravager. The deck accelerates mana during the opening turns using 2-mana artifacts and ritual effects to deploy potent board wipes and planeswalkers ahead of curve. Once established, it leverages proliferate engines such as Flux Channeler, Ichormoon Gauntlet, and Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus to rapidly increase loyalty counters toward game-ending ultimate abilities, particularly on Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God and Liliana, Dreadhorde General. Opponents face continuous asymmetric attrition through forced discard, search denial from Ashiok, Dream Render, and combat deterrence from Propaganda. While the deck lacks universal tutors and free countermagic, its high threat density and sweepers enable it to control the board, outlast opposing disruption, and close out the game around Turn 8 through planeswalker ultimates, commander damage, or insect swarms from The Locust God.
