Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed Mono-Black combo machine centered around K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. K'rrik turns life into a primary mana resource by substituting two life for every black mana symbol in costs. The deck leverages dense fast mana and elite black tutors to deploy K'rrik as early as Turn 2 or 3. Once K'rrik is on the battlefield, the deck chains reanimation and draw engines, most notably Vilis, Broker of Blood and Bolas's Citadel, to draw dozens of cards in a single turn. It converts this card volume into game-ending finishes via Aetherflux Reservoir, the infinite life-drain loop of Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Gravecrawler sacrifice lines. While the deck possesses explosive Turn 3 goldfish speed, it relies heavily on its life total and exhibits minimal stack interaction.
