X Spells by Dragonslayer

Deck overview

This Temur deck is commanded by Magus Lucea Kane, focusing on casting massive, duplicated X-cost spells that produce enormous creatures, overwhelming card advantage, and lethal direct damage. The deck accelerates into play with efficient mana dorks and cost-reducers, reliably landing Lucea Kane on Turn 3. On Turn 4, Lucea Kane taps to double high-impact X-spells, deploying twin Tyranid and Hydra threats while refilling the hand through the Ravenous mechanic and Temur Ascendancy. The game closes rapidly on Turns 5 to 6 through flying, trample combat damage enabled by Winged Hive Tyrant, or game-ending burn from Crackle with Power and Zoanthrope. Robust protection including Fierce Guardianship, Tyrant Guard, and March of Swirling Mist shields the board from disruption. Even if the commander is removed, redundant mana engines like Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Animar, Soul of Elements, and Unbound Flourishing maintain rapid pressure.
