Deck overview

This deck is a classic Gruul Landfall strategy built around Phylath, World Sculptor. It accelerates its mana development through a dense suite of basic land ramp spells like Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, and Harrow. Once 5 to 6 basic lands are in play, it casts Phylath on Turn 5 to immediately produce a swarm of 0/1 Plant creature tokens. On subsequent turns, each land drop places four +1/+1 counters onto a Plant, rapidly turning 0/1 tokens into massive threats. The deck finishes the game by pairing this immense power with trample enablers and overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede, Garruk's Uprising, and End-Raze Forerunners. While highly resilient to mana screw and capable of rebuilding from sweepers due to its heavy land base, the deck relies heavily on natural draws for its non-land spells and carries minimal protection against opposing interaction.
