Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Killian, Decisive Mentor to combine forced combat, pillowfort defense, and Aura-based scaling. By casting low-cost Auras and enchantments, Killian repeatedly taps and goads opposing creatures while drawing cards whenever enchanted creatures attack on any player's turn. The deck neutralizes incoming aggression using attack deterrents such as Sphere of Safety, Eriette of the Charmed Apple, and Nils, Discipline Enforcer, directing opponents to deplete each other's life totals. Meanwhile, cost reducers like Starfield Mystic and Transcendent Envoy accelerate the deployment of decisive enchantress win conditions, including Hallowed Haunting, Sigil of the Empty Throne, and All That Glitters. Graveyard recursion spells like Retether and Mantle of the Ancients ensure long-term resilience against sweepers, allowing the deck to outlast opponents and close the game through overwhelming flying tokens, commander combat damage, and passive end-step drain.
