Deck overview

This mono-red stompy deck uses Tannuk, Steadfast Second as a cost-cheating enabler and haste engine. By granting all artifact cards and red creature cards in hand warp {2}{R}, Tannuk lets you deploy massive threats like Ancient Copper Dragon, Terror of Mount Velus, Balefire Dragon, and Etali, Primal Storm for only three mana with immediate haste. The deck mitigates the warp exile drawback using blink and turn-ending effects like Conjurer's Closet and Sundial of the Infinite, or reaps extra value by recasting exiled cards alongside Nalfeshnee. Strong 1-2 CMC mana acceleration ensures Tannuk lands reliably on Turn 3 or 4, leading into explosive Turn 5 combat turns. Supported by protective tools like Deflecting Swat and Commander's Plate, the deck applies relentless combat pressure and closes the game across two subsequent attack cycles.
