Deck overview

This Boros deck combines damage-redirection creatures with heavy board sweepers and blink protection. Led by Archangel Avacyn // Avacyn, the Purifier, the deck establishes a defensive board of 'spite' creatures such as Boros Reckoner, Brash Taunter, and Truefire Captain. It uses blink spells like Ephemerate and Parting Gust to repeatedly trigger card-draw creatures and protect key permanents from removal. Once mana is developed, the deck resolves massive damage sweepers including Blasphemous Act, Star of Extinction, or Themberchaud. Because these spells deal immense damage to every creature, your redirectors funnel that damage directly into opponents' life totals while your own board is shielded with indestructible effects. The deck then cleans up surviving players with airborne commander damage and targeted fight triggers.
