Deck overview

This deck is a casual Selesnya midrange deck built around Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte and +1/+1 counter synergies. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Shelinda on Turn 2 and triggering her ability by casting small creatures to distribute counters across the board or grow the commander into a substantial lifelink threat. Scaling payoffs such as Mossborn Hydra, Doc Samson, Super Psychiatrist, and Bellowing Aegisaur compound counter production to mount a traditional combat-damage clock. The deck relies on a high land count of 40 lands and basic land ramp to reach its mid-game threats. However, it operates without nonland tutors, repeatable card draw engines, or efficient instant-speed interaction. The removal package consists primarily of combat-conditional spells like Kill Shot and Rebuke, while protection is limited to Asceticism. Overall, the deck seeks an honest, gradual board presence that wins through consecutive combat steps by Turn 10.
