Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir combo-control list helmed by Talion, the Kindly Lord. The game plan focuses on establishing early mana acceleration, deploying Talion to generate steady card advantage and life drain, and controlling the board with efficient interaction and asymmetric hate pieces. The primary path to victory is the compact Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation combo, which wins on the spot by exiling the library and resolving Oracle's enters-the-battlefield trigger. Backup lines include Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and Doomsday piles, alongside Hullbreaker Horror bounce loops. Disruptive permanents like Cursed Totem, Narset, Parter of Veils, Notion Thief, and Dauthi Voidwalker suppress opposing creature strategies and card draw while the deck sculpts a protected winning hand with cheap countermagic such as Force of Will, Pact of Negation, and Swan Song.
