Gitrog Landfall by user4559007

Format: Commander

Commander: The Gitrog Monster

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The Gitrog Monster is the engine: each sacrificed land draws a card and each extra land drop accelerates the landfall package. The primary plan is to ramp into Gitrog, trade lands for cards and mana with sacrifice outlets, then recur those lands with Crucible and Splendid Reclamation. Secondary wins are landfall drain from Retreat to Hagra and Ob Nixilis, a Field of the Dead and Scute Swarm token army, Marit Lage from Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage, and an X-spell from Cabal Coffers. There is no hidden commander; all lines feed Gitrog's graveyard loop. The deck is a midrange land-combo build that can pivot after interaction by rebuilding from the graveyard.
