Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is a Sultai elfball combo deck. The commander is single-faced; his role is to turn every legendary Elf ETB into a draw-two, and to borrow the activated abilities of Elf cards in the graveyard, especially mana production (Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, Wirewood Channeler), token generation (Imperious Perfect), pump (Ezuri, Renegade Leader), and drain (Lathril, Jarad). The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with self-mill and tutors, then explode into infinite mana with Staff of Domination. Secondary paths use landfall Elf tokens from Thranduil, the Strategist and Thranduil, Sindarin Liege, plus overrun combat. The two backup Thranduils function as hidden commanders for the token-and-draw plan.
