Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages lifegain triggers to generate overwhelming card advantage and decisive combat buffs. Commanded by Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel, the deck converts life gained directly into card draw by paying life back at parity. Early turns focus on establishing cheap soul sister creatures like Soul Warden and developing mana rocks. Once the engine is online, the deck amasses a huge life buffer, rapidly draws through the library, and deploys lethal scaling payoffs. Victory is achieved through massive flying swings empowered by Archangel of Thune and Nykthos Paragon, table-wide drain spells such as Debt to the Deathless, or immediate player elimination via Aetherflux Reservoir and Vizkopa Guildmage synergies. While mana-hungry, the deck generates compounding value once its engine resolves.
