Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet wheel and token swarm strategy led by The Locust God. The game plan accelerates mana through efficient artifacts and rituals on early turns to deploy the commander on Turn 4 or 5. Once The Locust God is active, the deck casts high-impact wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Time Spiral to draw massive bursts of cards while simultaneously creating an evasive army of 1/1 flying Insect tokens with haste. Impact multipliers such as Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, and Agate Instigator convert every card drawn into direct damage against each opponent. Secondary engines like Skullclamp and Ashnod's Altar turn tokens into massive mana and card velocity, culminating in an alpha strike or an alternate win through Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac. Strong countermagic defends the engine while wheels disrupt opposing hands.
