Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Treasure aristocrats and burn strategy helmed by Smaug, Wicked Worm. The primary game plan revolves around generating a high volume of Treasure tokens through equipment like Diamond Pick-Axe and Beamtown Beatstick, spells like Deadly Dispute and Big Score, and Smaug's enter-the-battlefield trigger scaling off opponents' artifacts. Once Smaug, Wicked Worm enters on Turn 5, every spell cast with Treasure mana replaces itself by drawing a card and triggering burn or life drain from cards like Nadier's Nightblade, Disciple of the Vault, and Alchemist's Talent. The deck applies escalating board-wide damage while maintaining full hand sizes through Smaug's draw engine. It finishes games around Turn 8 through cumulative burn triggers, token sacrifice drain, and evasive 5/5 flying commander combat. While the deck boasts explosive card velocity and resilient recovery, it lacks stack interaction and relies heavily on creature-based payoffs vulnerable to board wipes.
