Deck overview

This deck uses Witherbloom, the Balancer to turn a wide board of inexpensive mana dorks and tokens into immense mana acceleration. By granting affinity for creatures to all instants and sorceries, the commander reduces high-cost draw spells, tutors, and win conditions to just 1 or 2 colored mana. The primary win condition revolves around Sprout Swarm: with 4 creatures in play alongside the commander, buyback generic costs are entirely erased, allowing players to tap newly created Saprolings via convoke to generate infinite tokens at instant speed. The deck then converts this swarm into an immediate same-turn victory using Finale of Devastation, Triumph of the Hordes, or drain triggers from Witherbloom Apprentice and Mirkwood Bats. Heavy asymmetric disruption like Cabal Conditioning and Necrotic Hex completely dismantles opposing resources, while compact green protection spells ensure the combo resolves uninterrupted.
