Whimsical Wizards by user9362774

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest leads a Jeskai spellslinger deck that converts legendary Wizards into free combat-phase spells. The primary plan is to develop two or three legendary Wizards, cast Gandalf, and use his trigger to cheat on mana while digging toward the Niv-Mizzet plus Curiosity draw-ping loop. Secondary paths are Approach of the Second Sun with Narset's Reversal or Reprieve, and token combat from Talrand, Kykar, and Balmor. Gandalf is the value engine and mana cheat, but the deck does not depend on him: the Niv combo and Approach lines are fully independent. There is no hidden commander; Niv-Mizzet, Parun is the most important non-commander finisher.
