Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Aristocrats and +1/+1 Counter Aggro build helmed by Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest. The strategy converts sacrificial permanents—such as creature tokens, recursive creatures, Treasures, and fetchlands—into massive combat power and game-ending life drain. Early turns establish mana acceleration through dorks and ramp spells, alongside disposable fodder like Reassembling Skeleton, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, and Bloodghast. Once Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest enters on Turn 4, any sacrifice trigger places +1/+1 counters on every creature you control. Asymmetric sacrifice engines like Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, and Savra, Queen of the Golgari turn opposing boards into fuel, triggering Mazirek multiple times per rotation while keeping threats clear. Life-drain pieces such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Mirkwood Bats provide non-combat finishing power. With high redundancy, broad removal, and robust card draw engines, the deck presents a lethal board on Turn 5 and closes the game by Turn 7.
