Lord of The Rings - sleeved by OctalPlains

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis deck uses Sauron, the Dark Lord as a card advantage engine while it wins through Wraith tribal and Army combat. Nazgul and Lord of the Nazgul turn every Ring temptation into +1/+1 counters and 3/3 menace Wraiths, with Lord threatening to make all Wraiths 9/9 once you reach nine. Sauron grows an Orc Army whenever opponents cast spells and refills your hand to four whenever that Army deals combat damage and the Ring tempts you. Secondary paths use Sauron, the Necromancer, Zombify, and Archaeomancer to reanimate The Balrog of Moria and other threats, while Bone Miser turns discards into tokens, mana, and draws. Kills come from large Wraith/Army attacks, Assault on Osgiliath double strike, or mass steals.
