Smaug, Hoarder of Treasure by TheDonahue

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm commands a Rakdos artifact and Treasure engine that leverages opponent development and token production into immense mana and card draw. The primary game plan focuses on generating massive volumes of Treasure tokens to draw through the deck using Smaug's triggered ability, rapidly draining opponents via aristocrat effects like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Nadier's Nightblade. Secondary paths include explosive Dragon beats and alternate win conditions like Revel in Riches and Hellkite Tyrant. The deck can also pivot into an Underworld Breach loop with Wheel of Fortune and Jeska's Will to assemble lethal drain or storm through the entire library.
