Riddler Master by Schwasac

Format: Commander

Commander: Gollum, Riddle Master

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a mono-black midrange aristocrats list helmed by Gollum, Riddle Master. The commander is a two-mana value body: on entry you name odd or even, then the first three opposing spells of that quality grow him, drain the table, and draw a card. The ninety-nine is not built around the odd/even trigger. It is a token-and-sacrifice pile that wins by grinding life totals with drain permanents and a widening board. Primary wins are combat plus aristocrats. Token engines (Ophiomancer, Cryptbreaker, Bitterbloom Bearer, Grave Titan, an Orc Army) feed sacrifice outlets and death payoffs (Bastion of Remembrance, Falkenrath Noble, Mirkwood Bats). A late Bringer of the Last Gift or Blasphemous Edict can turn a stacked graveyard into a blowout. There are no infinite combos. Recursion (Unearth, Persist, Bloodghast, Grave Researcher // Reanimate) rebuilds after wipes. Gollum, Riddle Master is a convenient card-advantage body, not a hidden combo piece - the deck still executes if he never sticks.
