Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves leads a classic Golgari elfball deck: early one- and two-mana Elf mana dorks accelerate into Lathril, whose combat damage generates Elf Warrior tokens. The primary plan is a go-wide token board finished by Craterhoof Behemoth, Ezuri's overrun, or a big Finale of Devastation; a secondary plan drains opponents with Lathril's activated ability and Shaman of the Pack/Skemfar Shadowsage. The commander is both token engine and life-loss outlet, and there is no hidden commander. The deck is fast but linear, relying on density of Elf generators and a few tutor effects to find its finishers while protecting the critical swing with Heroic Intervention and Golgari Charm.
