Deck overview

The Cabbage Merchant is a mono-green token and artifact engine deck centered on generating Food tokens and converting them into explosive mana velocity, card draw, and lethal combat swarms. The deck leverages the commander's passive Food generation and mana conversion alongside premiere token enhancers like Academy Manufactor, Peregrin Took, and Jaheira, Friend of the Forest. As the token count compounds, the deck transitions from value generation to lethal combat pressure using massive overrun effects such as Coat of Arms, The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, Meatsqueak, Hoard Lord, and Campsite Cuisine. While resilient against single-target removal thanks to high token redundancy and protective spells like Heroic Intervention, the deck operates entirely at combat speed and is vulnerable to comprehensive artifact and creature board wipes. With dedicated ramp, high synergy, and steady card flow, the deck reliably establishes its token foundation on Turn 4, presents lethal pressure on Turn 6, and eliminates the table by Turn 7.
