Commander: Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a high-tempo Dimir tempo-control deck piloted by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, leveraging her commander ninjutsu to deploy a relentless stream of unblockable attackers. The primary game plan is to deploy cheap evasive creatures on turn 1, ninjutsu Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow in on turn 2, and then use her combat-damage trigger to flip high-mana-value cards like Shadow of Mortality and Temporal Trespass to drain the table for massive chunks of life while refilling your hand. A dense suite of free counterspells, efficient removal, and disruptive ninjas protects the tempo and lets you dictate the pace. The deck can also pivot to a ninja beatdown plan through Satoru Umezawa and the evasive creature base, but the primary win condition is chaining Yuriko triggers into extra turns and lethal damage by turn 4-5.
