Deck overview

This deck is an Esper (white-blue-black) big-mana "cheat-and-cast" strategy helmed by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary game plan is to deploy Yennett as early as possible, attack to trigger her ability, and cast absurdly expensive odd-CMC spells for free-most notably the extra-turn bombs Expropriate, Temporal Trespass, and Mnemonic Deluge, as well as game-ending threats like Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, Emrakul, the Promised End, and Artisan of Kozilek. The deck backs this with a robust control suite of counterspells, spot removal, and one-sided wipes like In Garruk's Wake and Blatant Thievery. It is a slow, high-variance deck that relies on the commander to cheat its mana curve; without Yennett, the 99 is essentially a pile of uncastable 9-cost spells.
