Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius control strategy commanded by Elminster. It combines top-deck manipulation, scrying synergies, and high-mana instants and sorceries to cheat costs and generate massive flying board states. Early turns focus on developing mana, establishing defensive enchantments like Propaganda, and smoothing draws with efficient cantrips. Once Elminster enters the battlefield, his loyalty abilities allow the deck to draw cards, reduce spell costs via scry, and exile expensive spells like Clone Legion or Dig Through Time to create swarms of Faerie Dragon tokens. The deck finishes games through wide aerial combat backed by anthems like Intangible Virtue and Dollmaker's Shop // Porcelain Gallery, or through an accelerated Approach of the Second Sun win condition. Dense countermagic and phasing spells provide reliable protection against opposing interaction.
