Format: Commander

Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari token-swarm deck built around Chatterfang, Squirrel General, whose replacement effect doubles every token created into an additional Squirrel. The primary game plan is to ramp into efficient token producers like Avenger of Zendikar and Scute Swarm, then use Chatterfang's multiplication to amass a critical mass of 1/1 Squirrels. Lord effects such as Squirrel Sovereign and Deep Forest Hermit pump the army, while Aggressive Mammoth and Garruk, Cursed Huntsman provide trample to crash through. The deck lacks infinite combos, instead winning through incremental combat damage over several turns. Secondary value comes from Toski, Bearer of Secrets for card draw, Bastion of Remembrance for drain, and Chatterfang's own sacrifice ability to remove problematic creatures.
