Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy mono-green stompy build commanded by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The core strategy leverages low-mana, high-power creatures such as Steel Leaf Champion, Wayward Swordtooth, and Rhonas the Indomitable to rapidly accumulate 10 or more power on board. This reduces Ghalta's casting cost to a mere {G}{G} as early as Turn 4. Once deployed, Ghalta triggers robust card-draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Vaultborn Tyrant, generating immense card advantage while threatening opponents with lethal trample damage. Mana burst engines like Selvala, Heart of the Wilds and Traverse the Outlands translate high creature power into overwhelming mana reserves. The deck overcomes removal through redundant heavy threats and resilient protection spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping. While vulnerable to mass exile and prolonged combat windows, its blistering assembly speed, built-in commander tax mitigation, and massive board presence make it a relentless combat juggernaut.
