Deck overview

This Grixis midrange spellslinger deck is built around Marchesa, Dealer of Death's crime trigger, converting every piece of targeted interaction into card selection and graveyard fuel. The primary plan is to pressure the stack and board with cheap crimes, dig toward layered infinite combos-chiefly the Niv-Mizzet, Parun / Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind + Curiosity / Tandem Lookout packages and the Forsaken Miner + Goblin Bombardment + Pitiless Plunderer loop-then close through damage. Secondary lines include Hullbreaker Horror bounce locks, Kess, Dissident Mage and Past in Flames storm-style recursion, and token beats from Young Pyromancer and Magda, the Hoardmaster. Marchesa is a powerful advantage engine rather than a combo piece herself; the deck still functions without her, but loses its most reliable filter. Average MV 2.50 and a dense rock suite keep the curve honest while the crime theme turns interaction into velocity.
