Deck overview

This deck pairs Krark, the Thumbless with Sakashima of a Thousand Faces to create a potent Izzet spellslinger combo engine. By having Sakashima copy Krark, every instant and sorcery cast triggers two coin flips. Winning a flip copies the spell, while losing a flip returns the original card to hand, turning single cantrips and rituals into repeatable card advantage and mana generation. Accelerators like Tavern Scoundrel, Birgi, God of Storytelling, and Storm-Kiln Artist convert coin flips into substantial Treasure and mana surpluses. The deck transitions from engine setup to a decisive finish on Turn 4, using storm payoffs such as Grapeshot and Brain Freeze to eliminate all opponents simultaneously in a single turn. It also features compact backup lines like Dualcaster Mage combined with Twinflame and Underworld Breach recursion.
