Deck overview

This Sultai deck focuses on maximizing resource velocity and top-deck card advantage under Glarb, Calamity's Augur. By combining heavy land ramp with top-of-library casting and graveyard recursion, the deck quickly builds a dominant mana base. Early turns establish mana rocks, land-fetch creatures, and Glarb to continuously filter the top of the library using Surveil 2. In the mid-game, engines like Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, Ancient Greenwarden, and Six convert extra land drops and retrace into sustained card flow. The primary route to victory generates overwhelming token swarms using Avenger of Zendikar and Rampaging Baloths, which are rapidly buffed by repeated Landfall triggers or an overrun from Rumbleweed. Flexible interaction such as Tishana's Tidebinder and targeted counterspells protects the engine while disrupting key opposing plays.
