Format: Commander

Commander: Astonishing Spider-Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet discard deck turns Astonishing Spider-Man's attack trigger into damage and card advantage. You attack, discard your hand, and draw that many cards, which triggers payoffs like Glint-Horn Buccaneer, Brallin, Skyshark Rider, and Magmakin Artillerist to ping each opponent and grow creatures like Marauding Mako and Scrounging Skyray. Secondary paths use the same draw to drain with Psychosis Crawler, push unblockable damage with Captain Howler, Sea Scourge and Key to the City, or empty your library to win with Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Laboratory Maniac. Spider-Man is your main draw engine, while Rielle, the Everwise acts as a hidden commander that keeps the discard-draw loop running.
