Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and cheat-into-play strategy commanded by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary game plan revolves around manipulating the top of the library with cards like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Lim-Dûl's Vault to ensure Yennett consistently reveals game-ending odd-mana cards on attack. By casting colossal threats such as Void Winnower, Breach the Multiverse, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and In Garruk's Wake entirely for free on Turn 5, the deck generates overwhelming mana velocity and card advantage. A robust suite of Esper removal (Void Rend, Swords to Plowshares) and defensive stax (Ghostly Prison, Fatespinner) keeps aggressive opponents at bay while Yennett establishes an asymmetric stranglehold over the battlefield, closing the game via massive flying combat damage by Turn 7.
