Deck overview

Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness leads an aggressive Orzhov historic midrange deck designed to assemble a wide board of low-cost legendary creatures and scale them into an overwhelming combat force. By deploying 1- and 2-mana legendary threats in the opening turns, the deck primes the battlefield for Ardbert on Turn 3. Every subsequent white or black spell distributes +1/+1 counters while granting menace and vigilance, with two-color spells triggering both halves to rapidly swell your creatures into lethal attackers. The deck sustains its pressure through efficient card draw engines like Tymna the Weaver and Welcoming Vampire, backed by asymmetric board clears such as Urza's Ruinous Blast and Damning Verdict. Outstanding protection pieces, including Clever Concealment and Flawless Maneuver, insulate the board against opposing interaction. With evasive keywords, double-strike enablers like Chocobo Knights, and death-trigger buffers like Felisa, Fang of Silverquill, the deck reliably overruns all three opponents by Turn 7.
