Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by Lurrus of the Dream-Den and operates as an aristocrats, stax attrition, and combo engine. Rather than relying on Lurrus as a companion, it leverages high-impact permanents across the curve while utilizing Lurrus from the command zone to repeatedly recur low-cost utility pieces like Mishra's Bauble, Skullclamp, and Stitcher's Supplier. The deck restricts opposing resources using asymmetric sacrifice effects like Braids, Cabal Minion and Smokestack, alongside graveyard denial from Dauthi Voidwalker. It converts accumulated board advantages into decisive victories through redundant infinite life-drain loops, including Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Sanguine Bond, and Bloodchief Ascension paired with Mindcrank.
