Deck overview

This is a themed Jeskai deck built around The War Doctor and K-9, Mark I. Its main plan is to exile cards through effects such as Tavern Brawler, Valakut Exploration, Laelia, the Blade Reforged, and The Day of the Doctor, thereby placing time counters on The War Doctor. K-9, Mark I supplies targeted unblockability, while Swiftfoot Boots gives haste and protection. The deck also has strong interaction, card-draw engines, and several high-impact exile payoffs, including Etali, Primal Storm, Chimil, the Inner Sun, and Quintorius Kand. Its main weakness is that the central combat engine damages one opponent at a time and does not convert its growing counters into a reliable table kill. The deck is capable of value and strong midgame turns, but its setup is expensive, its key roles are singleton-dependent, and it has no supported infinite combo or total lockout.
