Deck overview

This Hinata, Dawn-Crowned deck is built as a dedicated Jeskai stax, tax, and group-slug attrition engine. Rather than focusing on multi-target spells, it utilizes Hinata as an evasive 4/4 flyer with a built-in targeting tax that complements a heavy suite of rule-setting permanents. The deck aims to establish early mana taxes and casting restrictions using cards like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Sphere of Resistance, and Rule of Law, before cementing a hard resource lock with Winter Orb or Static Orb. Once the table is constrained, it transitions into its endgame using escalating attrition sources like Descent into Avernus, Sulfuric Vortex, and Rite of the Raging Storm, backed by evasive combat pressure. While resilient against single-target removal due to extensive ward and targeting taxes, the deck lacks burst card draw and dedicated instant-speed counterspells, relying on tight lock pieces to grind out long-term victories.
