Smaug's Hoard by Zplayz

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

An aggressive dragon-tribal deck centered on Smaug the Impenetrable. It uses cost reducers, rocks, and Treasure generators to land the 7-mana commander ahead of curve, then turns his indestructibility into a resource: self-damaging wipes and self-targeted burn create large Treasure piles. The primary kill is Star of Extinction on Smaug while Mirkwood Bats is out; 20 Treasures are created and then sacrificed for 40 life loss to each opponent. Backup axes are Dragon-enters burn from Scourge of Valkas, Dragon Tempest, and Terror of the Peaks, plus Haste dragons. There is no double-faced or hidden commander; the adventure Smaug contributes a cheap self-damage spell and another flying beater.
