Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya Spider tribal and +1/+1 counters deck led by Mary Jane Watson. The core plan revolves around casting cheap Spider creatures to trigger the commander's ability, maintaining a steady flow of extra cards each turn. As the web expands, creatures receive continuous buffs from counter enhancers such as Aunt May, Good-Fortune Unicorn, and Spider-Man India. Reach and deathtouch keywords provide solid defensive stability against aggressive flying decks while building toward a critical mass of attackers. The deck closes games through wide creature combat empowered by team-wide anthems like Maja, Bretagard Protector, Web-Warriors, and Rydia's Return. While resilient against ground combat and flyers, the deck operates at a fair midrange pace, lacking fast mana, infinite combos, and stack interaction. It rewards patient board building, efficient sequencing of Spider drops, and timely deployment of mass buff spells to overwhelm opponents in sustained combat.
